Welcome To Hamburg
A boutique recalling the grandeur of old Europe.
Our first store in Germany, our Hamburg outpost is in the Altstadt district, one of the city’s most distinguished and historic areas.
Considered a fine example of Hamburg’s finest Biedermeier era deign, the shop is located in an elegant townhouse that has been refurbished with incredible care.
The shop’s palette nods to the space’s Biedermeier origins, with the walls painted in complementary pastel tones of pistachio green and pale lilac to reflect the building’s heritage.
Walnut shelves, a traditional Germany conservatory and parquet flooring echo this approach, while more modern details – a Murano glass chandelier here, 1950s armchairs there – add Paul Smith’s idiosyncratic touch.
